What should I know about adopting a French Bulldog?

French Bulldogs are loving and playful, but they can have specific care needs such as dealing with respiratory issues due to their brachycephalic (flat-faced) nature and a higher risk of Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a spinal condition common in the breed.

It’s important to ensure you can provide them with proper care, attention and a loving home that accommodates their unique health needs. One simple but crucial precaution is to prevent them from jumping off furniture like couches or beds, as this can increase the risk of spinal injury. Using pet ramps or steps can make a big difference in keeping them safe and healthy.

What is the adoption process?

Our adoption process includes submitting an application, a home visit to ensure a safe environment and meeting the dog before finalizing the adoption. The entire process typically takes about 2–4 weeks, depending on the dog’s needs and how quickly steps can be completed. How much does it cost to adopt a Frenchie?

The adoption fee helps cover veterinary care, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and other medical expenses. Fees vary per dog.
